  All overgrown with azure moss and flowers

  The sea-blooms and the oozy woods which wear' K5 [  w$ O: l0 {$ }6 z: R3 `& R, Z
  The sapless foliage of the ocean, know
5 j; ^# ^9 d4 i( H- a9 `1 ?3 e  Thy voice, and suddenly grow gray with fear,
( \% r: U+ {" B2 y+ W+ T  And tremble and despoil themselves: oh hear!
  F( E8 b$ V7 k( R4 w8 Z9 z  If I were a dead leaf thou mightest bear;
0 r! I* A( F, R/ F1 e9 [  If I were a swift cloud to fly with thee;) B: w, N/ u( k0 A9 X8 }- \* W
  A wave to pant beneath thy power, and share3 d, z# I( U" X8 C# }# @3 z4 k2 {# w
  The impulse of thy strength, only less free( q6 J# X/ X2 L
  Than thou, O uncontrollable! If even

  As thus with thee in prayer in my sore need.

  Make me thy lyre, even as the forest is:
& b  ~$ v3 X# H& @  What if my leaves are falling like its own!3 Y' S; X. b  i4 w
  The tumult of thy mighty harmonies
& R" ^: k7 S% r- H  Will take from both a deep, autumnal tone,
2 @* b5 D. \! T% u  @  Sweet though in sadness. Be thou, Spirit fierce,! W6 d1 u) g/ U1 r( u" e7 I
  My spirit! Be thou me, impetuous one!
, Z8 }' w8 S1 e& {0 _$ C  Drive my dead thoughts over the universe
: t% K; A5 ?1 N  Like wither'd leaves to quicken a new birth!

  Ashes and sparks, my words among mankind!, B% {+ X' \" R$ H
  Be through my lips to unawaken'd earth
